Andres Mejia, Ph.D.

Dr. Mejía is professor of the SDGKU Full Stack Development Immersive program. His responsibilities include course planning, curriculum design, and course lectures. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and a Masters degree in Science with a focus on Software Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexico, as well as a Ph.D. in Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexico, and the University of Seville, Spain. He has performed research in the discipline of Human-Computer Interaction, attempting to further adapt technology to the specific characteristics of their users and persons with some form of disability. In particular, users with deficiencies in their executive functions of working memory, cognitive flexibility and planning. He has presented his work in several international conferences and published in international scientific journals. The above mentioned foreign academic degree(s) have been validated for equivalency in the United States.
