State Approvals

The U.S. Department of Education requires that any institution offering online programs to students who reside outside of its home state must acquire authorization from the states in which students reside. Regulations vary from state to state and, as such, federal, state, and institutional policies may limit or prohibit San Diego Global Knowledge University’s authorization to deliver online education to students in certain states. San Diego Global Knowledge University will continue to monitor developments in state laws in each state in which it enrolls students and, if authorization or licensure is or becomes necessary, will promptly seek to obtain such approvals.

San Diego Global Knowledge University is licensed, registered, authorized, certified, or formally exempt in the following states and territories as indicated below. In the remaining states and territories, San Diego Global Knowledge University either is not required to obtain approval to deliver online education to students residing in the state or has ceased enrolling students residing in the state. A copy of the documentation describing the institution’s licensure, registration, authorization, or certification will be made available to any enrolled or prospective student upon request. To make this request, please contact our Director of Admissions and Registrar as (619) 934-0797 .

Student Complaint State Contact Information

Students are encouraged to use the University procedures outlined in the Student Rights and Responsibilities section of this Catalog to informally or formally file complaints. Any student may contact his or her specific state agency directly to register a complaint. See below for information on registering a complaint in your state.

Information on Registering a Complaint with a State

San Diego Global Knowledge University takes active steps to provide a positive learning environment and resources to assist students in meeting their educational goals. Though it always is the university’s desire to see students have a dispute-free experience, the university understands that sometimes challenges will arise. While students are able to file a complaint at an external agency, the university provides options for internally resolving a dispute involving students, prospective applicants, alumni, former students and others that may have concerns about something relating to the student experience with an opportunity to swiftly and fairly resolve any confusion, frustration, or issue. Individuals with a concern will have the ability to resolve their concerns informally or through the formal grievance process.

Any student may contact his or her specific state agency directly to register a complaint.
